In the Cleveland, Ohio, region, there is a marina called Lyman Harbor Waterfront Weddings. Couples can hold their wedding at this exquisite waterfront location, which has a ballroom and breathtaking views of Sandusky Bay. Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is roughly a 65-minute drive from this facility in Sandusky, Ohio. Either outside by the ocean or within one of the venue's many interior areas, couples can get married there. Outdoor weddings are held on a green lawn behind an elegant white arch. There are four indoor banquet halls at the location. The smallest is the Lotus Room. This area accommodates up to 75 guests and is ideal for small wedding parties or ceremonies. 120 people can be seated in the Boeckling Room.

An exquisite stone fireplace and a patio may be seen in this area. Up to 450 guests can be accommodated in the elegant white columns and opulent circle chandeliers of the Starlite Ballroom. The Compass Point Ballroom can accommodate up to 650 guests. This ballroom boasts high ceilings and a glass wall with windows that look down over the lake. As dusk falls, guests can access a fire pit or tiki torches on the spacious outdoor terrace. The Lyman Brothers Boat Builder Company was the founding entity of this location back in 1875. After constructing their boatyard close to Cleveland, Ohio, they built the Lyman boat. The Lyman Boat Works business was renamed by the brothers in the late 1920s, and they moved to the current Sandusky location of the venue.

Small sailing and rowing boats were initially created by the firm, but by the middle of the 20th century, it was producing custom sail and motor boats. The final stop in production occurred in 1973 as the market for wooden boats vanished. Lyman Harbor welcomed sailors and revelers when it first opened as a location for events in 2002 under new management.

Once you find your wedding venue, it is easier to imagine your dream wedding dress. Imagine entering the venue arm-in-arm with all your guests’ eyes upon you. Your first dance awaits you. What is your wedding gown style, A-line, boho, ballgown, mermaid, or other silhouettes?

With your venue date set, a few quick yet fun decisions are needed to coordinate the wedding date. Be sure to schedule your ceremony location soon, too. Looking for alternative wedding ceremony locations? Perhaps, a local park or beach is the spot to exchange your vows and capture memories. The journey ahead is bound to fill with excitement and joy. Wedding photographers can book a year in advance of your wedding date, so be sure to hire a wedding photographer in short order that meets your vision and personality. And, of course, let’s remember your out-of-town wedding guests. Let them know that you researched their accommodation options, whether a hotel or a private rental house, as the guests, will appreciate this.

Finally, an easy and momentous step of your wedding planning – get your official wedding license.
